spoke to milkteacoma, and he mocked up a posterboard for the fender well.. cut it accordingly and then transferred that stencil onto the fendx liner.

Interested for sure. Seems like install instructions need some work and its more of a pain than most expect. Hope the OP can make some improvements.

If you're talking about the fender flare, I did and it didn't really help. Only caused me to break a couple clips which only created another issue lol

Update people. Driver side is in. Took me 3 hours with the help of a friend, plus I power washed everything before going to town on the fender well..

So my take take on this is that since I have Remote Reservoirs you’re gonna need to cut the front portion that sticks out... well I cut it out because it wasn’t going to fit behind my Reservoir. It was such a PAIN in the ASS to do it myself.. I had a friend help mock it up everytime because we had to ensure the holes were in the right place prior to drilling. On the front portion, I had to cut a HUGE slit to have it fit in between the BODY mount because that’s as far it will be covering down on mine anyway. I will be converting to a T3 CBI front bumper in the future so that little gap you see on the bottom isn’t gonna be such of a big deal.. also on the inner portion of the fender liner where it anchors to the little mount, well.. I had to trim about a 1/4 of an inch to be able to have it line up just right with my outside fender and keep it all snug with my bumper.. over all, I wish it came with pre drilled holes so it would’ve been an easier install. This product is EXTREMELY functional and I will be putting the passenger side on another day.

Keep your old fender liners and place it the fend-x liner on the bottom, then place your old fender liner on top so you can have a template for where to drill your pilot holes. Keep a square file too, because you’re gonna have to square the holes out in order to line up with the fender. I put about 6 of the plastic fasteners and screws in from the kit that I purchased with the fendx. I’m planning on doing the same thing to the passenger side as well. I hope this helps a bit. Definitely gonna go 35’s now for sure.

Let me know if you guys have any further questions.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
I was referring to the entire fender panel, not just the flare. working from above on a table, it might be easier to get it mounted to the outward side, then move the panel/liner assembly into place for final fitment on the fenderwall side

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-quarter-panel-removal.498675/#post-15498055
    2nd gen should be similar

I am interested to see how these work with 35"+ tires. Has anyone done it yet? my Fenders are trimmed and liners are removed. My tires still rub the top of my wheel well at full compression, so I am not sure how these would fit unless I hammered/tubbed high enough to clear the metal and the thickness of the liner

How long are these? The first page says 6ft but that seems longer than needed? Do you need to trim for an aftermarket bumper?

For those who've followed along since inception (nearly 2 yrs ago w/ precut Splash Guards) know that istride to put this amazing platform on a pedestal and always value my interactions with each nd every member!! As life would have it, shortly after the intro of the Fend-X Liners my lady and I were put thru a metal blender and life was thrown upside down in an instant. God showed us unbelievable mercy, and we both walked away from the ordeal. 20180325_222524.jpg Needless to say, it took a massive toll on our family. Since then I've needed all allotted spare time to rebound and rebuild our lives. Despite the incident, kept my nose to the grindstone and continued to fabricate and fulfill orders. That said, some aspects of business were affected, specifically thread activity and PM replies and for that I am sorry my peeps. This overdue PDF Draft is available on our website Download Fend-X install sheet here I'm BACK!
