Fender drama

New member and proud new Tacoma owner. Just got my somewhat ideal truck and want to start making it mine. I hate the black plastic fender and was wondering what would be the best/cheapest way to have them match the paint of the truck. Take them off and go to a Autobody shop? Can you buy color matched fenders ready to go? Stoked on the site and the abundance of information. Mahalo

 

You can definitely buy color matched but you'll likely pay WAY more than is comfortable. Painting probably not much cheaper. Do you have any scrap yards aren't you? Craigslist?

 

I've looked on craigslist near me and everything is paint less. haven't thought of salvage yard yet, thanks

 

Call me crazy but I dig the black fenders on the base models. I like the contrast.

I never see tacos(even first gens) in the yards. They just turn them into trail rigs or ship them to jabip when they are no longer roadworthy in the states

 

You'll find them here in the classifieds sometimes, keeps your eye in there.
