I just got my dad's 02 Tacoma TRD last month when he past away.. It has black fender flars on it an they are faded. Is there anything I can put on them to make the black look good again? Or do they need to be painted?

Cheaper to sand and rattlecan Krylon black fusion but Turtle Wax ICE polish can restore the flares quickly but I can't comment on the longevity of it after the polish wears off.
It's worth looking into as a light wax/polish since you can pretty much apply ICE to the whole truck, metal or plastic, even in direct sunlight.

I used that "wipe new" stuff that you may have seen on tv a little while back, they sell the stuff at Walmart in the auto section.

It seemed to work well on all my black plastics (side mirrors, door handles, trim around windows, plastic around the edge of bed). My friend also used it on his Jeep and it's held up well in our AZ sun.
