Bought my 2006 Tacoma off of someone who had stickers on the fender flares, removed them and the outline is still there from sun fading, best solution to make them nice again, satin spray paint? Idk

You removed the flares and there are lines? Are you planning on leaving them off?

EDIT: Or did you remove the stickers and there are lines on the flares?

Fender flares are staying on the truck, the stickers were on the fender flares, and the outline of them is sun faded into the black on the fender flares.

Are they painted or just the basic black fenders?

Basic black. Figure the only way to only get them completely nice is to paint them.

Maybe try a trim restorer??? :notsure:

    Otherwise, painting them would work.

Can the fender flares be derped? I have the same issue on my PR, I usually use Mothers Back to Black and that last for awhile. I've also thought about Line X

I'd try a heat gun. Be careful, you don't want to actually melt the plastic, just warm the surface.

There are several trim coatings out there that will last longer than any dressing ever thought about. Yes, they are pricey but if you only have flares to worry about then a bottle will last you a few years easy. I currently using GTechniq C4. I applied in May and have yet to notice any fading. We had a lot of rain this summer along with 90+ degree temps.

I bought it from Autogeek.net. They have several products on their website that are trim coatings. C4 is the first one I have tried. The success I am having with it, I don't think I will try another brand. Its nice not having to constantly reapply. My roof trips always looked the worst. Now that are a nice rich black. One thing I like about the product is that it doesn't make trim shine.

On a side note, do not pay full price for it. Autogeek runs sales all the time. If you order by midnight tonight use code private25 for 25% off.

I few months back I look on Amazon and forever black was the top result so I bought it and tried it out. Looked good at first but you really can't get a good even layer on the flare. It applies with a sponge brush or whatever you choose but you could see each stroke once it dried.

    They sure can.

I derped mine a couple years ago because I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. They've held up reasonably well, and I put a little armor all or tire shine on them occasionally.

I was thinking of derping mine but wasn't sure how well they would hold up. Yours look pretty good, I think I'm going to try it next spring when the weather warms up. If all else fails I'm thinking Line X but that's a pretty expensive fix.
