Being new to TW and Tacoma’s in general. Is there a specific site w/link that the group uses for OEM parts? I’m on mobile, so if theres a link that’s been provided. I don’t see it. Went online to my local Toyota dealer and they don’t have online ordering for parts.

If you want to go online use partznet.com and use the part numbers listed in post # 2.
If you want it cheaper, go on ebay and plug those same part numbers in and look for ones from a wrecker. The market should be relatively fleshed out by now such that you can scrounge a full set.

If you want to use your Toyota dealership, bring them the part numbers listed in post # 2 and let them order it for you. Be aware that it is possible that they are going to get confused and you are going to have to explain you are adding flares to a truck that has none.

Guess there’s a lot more people out there in the same boat I’m in. eBay has 4 listings. Full price. Non used. partznet.com is my best bet. $700 bucks. Ouch.

Thanks again for the input and advice.

Thank you! I just got OEM fender flares, they have a few scratches, but for 50$ I can’t complain :bananadance:

One quick question: did you also use double stack tape on the perimeter of the fender? Or the double stack is just for the clips that were cutoff?

Around the entire edge; otherwise, over time, the fender will separate. I used 3M...I believe the 30 lb.

This is the one I used when I did this on my other truck. Like @Doc's Rig said do the entire outer edge.

Finding a place to buy these at a somewhat resonable price is a nightmare. The places online want to charge $200 for shipping and the one local dealership that has a estore wants $214 for a front flare and $243 for a rear flare. Ive resorted to asking for quotes from other local dealerships.

Waiting for parts to do the install... do any of you (ones that did it) have any extra advice?

I noticed on the first post from @Nitori on the front flares there’s no 3m tape on the upper edge where the flre meets the front bumper.. am I right? Why?

Do I have to put only one layer of 3m tape? Or two layers?

Any other advice-comment is very welcome..

    Will post pics...

When I did it on my other truck, I put the tape along the entire outer edge of the flare and where the clips would normally go. You only need one layer of tape.

    Did it!

    It came out nice!

My only concern was that I’ve seen som sr5 with flares and I guess is the rim offset but the tire does not align with the outer line of the flare, in other words, the tire looks not wide enough (for me) but with these 4R rims (I do not know the offset of this rims) it looks really nice... the tire could stick out maybe a 1/2 inch to meet the body line if you look from behind or front.. but I’m very pleased with the result...

Thanks to @Nitori for the write up and others for the advice...

Ive noticed a few new part numbers listed thru-out the thread.. I think I have a set of used ones locked down.. I just need all the other stuff.. Are the bolts and plastic pieces needed still the same part#'s listed in the OP?

You can use the existing bolts and double sided tape. Worked like a charm for me. Still hanging on strong in this brutal Florida heat. Several car washes later.
