I have my truck bed off (long story) and while it's off I'm going to replace the 'gasket' between the body and the fender flares (should fix some minor gaps). To do this I need to remove the flares (I have the black ones). I am ordering the plastic clips to replace any I damage during removal. I was wondering if anyone recommended a tool or technique to aid in removing the flares to minimize potential damage to the flare around the clip attach points. Thanks!

I recently pulled mine off to respray them. There are the 10mm bolts in the wheel well itself, I had some rusted out. Then I just pulled hard to get the fender flare off. Like everyone says, you break 75% of the clips. I bought some on Amazon but honestly I put them back on with just the bolts and I haven't noticed any difference.

I'll just be another to say, after the 10mm are out, just rip that shit off and hope for the best. You can also purchase those tabs on Amazon. DO NOT pay more than $0.25 per. The stealership charges $5 I think. You might get two?
