Fender Flares: Color Matched or Black

Black, hands down...

 

i've never been a fan of color matched fender flares. paint them matte black and call it a day.

 

I already have black because I didn't think the SR5 options were worth the money and like the silver & black combo. So I got the base with convenience package.
I'm thinking of going TACODOC1 style and Rhino it.

 

For those who have color matched flares, is the rubber trim/gasket piece also color matched or is it black?

In all those pics (photobucket album) of TacoDell's I can't tell. In fact it looks like he doesn't even have that piece in there.

 

Mine are factory black and the trim is black, haven't' payed attention to white trucks with white flares, my guess is there black.

 

Black is the way to go..

 

I know you all have this thread bookmarked and check it daily to see my current thoughts, so I'll share them....

IMO color matched looks awesome. This is what I want. But the black looks good too, especially if restored. Black also has it's advantages: There are a lot of options, that are a lot easier and cheaper to achieve/maintain in order to make them black vs color matched

 

I vote black! Black looks way better especially if you have black accents (like I do), and it looks more rough! IMO, matched looks too... pleasently gentle! Black all the way!!!
