@MESO I just got bushwackers and I'd like to use black bolts. Did you paint them or are they 18-8 black oxide?

That looks great, thanks for the link. My only concern is that since they are "alloy steel" they may rust. I looked at the 18-8 stainless black oxide ones also from mcmaster, but still unsure of the corrosion issue. Painting might be the best, just have to be really careful on the cleaning. I'd rather not have them Line-Xed along with the fenders.

That picture was taken in late December. I live in MN so it's seen plenty of salt/snow and now this summer, rain. There's no indication/signs of rust on them at all. I can't remember which product I used, but it was either the XO Rust in Matte Black: https://www.truevalue.com/shop/pain...st-enamel-paint-primer-black-flat-12-oz-spray

Or it was Rustoleum Rust Reformer: https://www.truevalue.com/shop/pain.../spray-paint-automotive/rust-remover-10-25-oz

It was whatever I had from another project still laying around. I used a razor blade to cut a + into one of the Bushwacker cardboard flaps, pushed the bolts in and let the washers sit loose. Then sprayed and let dry and went back over them for a second and then a third time. Let them cure overnight and then put them on the next day and there were only a couple where the paint ever-so-slightly scratched off during installation. All in all, I'm happy with how it turned out. I'd had the ebay link/bolts in case the spraying option went completely sideways.

I looked and it was the Rust-Oleum product linked above that I used.

Thanks, just ordered it. It should be a decent contrast to the line-X.
