Does anyone have 01-04 flares on their 98-00 tacoma? I was just wondering how it looks. Please send pictures if you have them :)

I do. It does take some work.

Note that I have 2nd Gen rims on there, which have a different offset so they sit inboard by 3/4". I'll be putting spacers on soon so the flares and tires will stick out at the same distance.

Mine came with broken clip brackets and covered in Line-X. The best way I could figure out how to replicate the attachment of the flare to the fender was with the strongest 2-sided tape I could find. In 01-04 models, they have square holes cut into the fenders for plastic clips to go into. I didn't want to cut any holes like that.

Repairing the broken brackets required cutting 1/2 inch PVC plugs to fit the contours and angles. The funky colored glue is what they sold for bonding PVC to ABS, which is what the fender flares are made of.

IIRC, the bolt holes that go in the wheel well line up. My chrome trim pieces I had on before had MORE bolt holes so I didn't have to drill any new ones. Once I got it bolted on and the 2 sided tape stuck on, I taped off the fender and used black silicone to seal between the flare and fender. It's been 1.5 years now and I am going to have to redo the silicone. If I were to do it again, I would use:
