I will be installing a new lil B's full high clearance hybrid bumper next week. Just wondering what people do with the fender liner. I know you get just cut it all off but I would like to use a heat gun and somehow fold it forward to still keep mud from getting all over the inside. I actually use my truck off road so it'll be functional and aesthetic to not have a giant hole there.

Bumping this thread because I just mutilated my fender liner installing my SSO plate bumper.

The lack of response is a little surprising though, seems like it’d be fairly common…

Maybe it would get more attention over in the armor forum, but here is my solution on CBI T3.

CBI showed cutting off to follow the body sheet metal.

I decided to do minimal trimming and heat gun it to fold up on the bottom side of that sheet metal. Then used outside factory clip hole to zip tie to a reinforcement in the bumper, and trimmed/ drilled holes to zip tie inside edge to the body mount. Most trimming was along the inside edge.

I looked around and found no aftermarket market like the Jeep's have. I made mine out of an old trash can.

Held together with zip ties and a prayer.

Trim it to the profile of the radiator/headlight support, then secure it to the body mount bracket with a large plastic washer and push-clip:

The wings of the hybrid bumper are made from tubing, i.e. open, so there's no "inside" vs. "outside".

At that point in the night when I got the bumper all on and everything was installed, I just took a vibrating multi tool and cut the liner straight across and didn't try anything. Honestly looks good. If I remember, I'll try to take a picture after work
