    3 questions:

    1) Does everyone reinstall (or keep in place and just trim in place) the inside fender liner?

    2) How much distance there is from the tire to the (trimmed) body area of the fender when at rest? [front tire mostly, back tire also curious]

    3) Is it really necessary to trim the top of the wheel well body section of the fender?
3a) Is it really necessary to trim the top of the wheel well fender its self?

    I am running a 305/65/17 tires on 17x9 wheels

Anyone that trimmed the rear fenders and flares 2” or more looks like you lose the factory center support. Are you fabbing something new? If so id love to see how you supported it

this support doesn’t really do anything. Mines been out for 10 years and holding strong.

Where do you put the zip ties exactly? At the bottom of the flare you lose that little bolt when cutting how do you connect bottom of flare to sheat metal

You can drill holes in the plastic and metal where needed. When I did the metal part I left little tabs insteead of a straight/rounded line and drilled holes in them to attach my liners back. Be forewarned, it only blocks SOME of the dust/mud from getting up in the fenders and you will still get water going up and over the metal bedsides and into the bed of the truck. To hold my plastic fenders on I did the poor mans bushwackers. Works like a charm!

Im reattaching the flares and notices the new orange clips are really lose. They are an Amazon purchase.
The old orange clips were way looser than the old blue ones though.
Just wondering if thats how they are from the factory maybe?
If not im thinking about buying the orange ones from Toyota hoping they might last a little longer and hold tighter.
I want to say ive read that it doesn’t really matter where the clips go though? Colorwise?

it does matter where they go. If you bought aftermarket clips you may have gotten subpar ones.

I went by toyota and grabbed some orange ones. They were as lose as the Amazon ones.
They flares holes aren’t blown out so who knows. Maybe those ones are spaced away from the fender a hair?
I might just throw a modified carriage bolt in each of the orange spots or at least at that bottom one. I appreciate the help!
