I replaced my lowers with the non whitelines awhile back. If I were to do it again I’d get the whitelines.

Fernie, did you ever run your 4.88 regear on 33’s?
I’m gonna regear this summer on 255 85 16’s. I go back and forth between 4.56 and 4.88. My truck is heavy as hell.

Yup you would respect the speed limit on the highway. Less tickets ;)

Hmm. Making me think I'm fine with 4.10s right now. I'm currently debating whether or not to regear right now. It's either I regear to 4.88s or do an Atlas 4 Speed. Eventually I think I have to regear since my truck weighs 4900lbs empty.

Is that just armor, lift, and tires? Curious as to where all your weight comes from. Maybe I need to run to the dump when I'm empty to see where I'm at. I'll probably do it after I get my skids mounted.

Do you think 5.29s would be too much for 33” w/auto

Pretty much. Stock the double cab 4x4s weigh 3800lbs.

I think @Robmonster117 had 31s with 5.29s. Basically screaming down the highway.

Wonder what I weigh. Dont have frame reinforcements or a rear bumper yet. Skids will be mounted next week

Guess I'm saving for an Atlas 4 Speed. I'll have to let you drive my truck whenever I get an Atlas. Going from 2.57 in the t-case to 3.8 is going to be really nice!

4.88s with 285s and 5spd. Love the combo. Keep the speed limit but also have plenty of punch for passing. Living in the foothills and driving the mountain passes is much more tolerable. 70mph is around 3000 rpm. Truck weighs atleast 4500 lbs. Probably more :spy:

Of course. I'm in the BAMF skid thread, remember :boink:

Regearing is the single best mod I've done, after suspension. 4 low I can release the clutch in every gear without throttle, maybe a bit of lugging in 5th gear (I think that's 3rd gear in 4 high) on flat ground.

I’ve had 4.10s and 35s so long I don’t even remember what it’s like to have power.

Supercharger might be what I look into next. I’d rather that than a regear
