Nah not the empty tank alarm, I always be sure and hold down the top button so it resets that way. I'll have to check next time if goes off.
Not sure what kind of alarm, I'll have to check next time if goes off.

Mine is set to go off every 5,000 miles for oil change intervals. Maybe yours is going off. But then again, text will appear with any alarm so you'd be reading what it was chirping about.

I'm hoping to use them as turn signals for my bumper that I ordered...Just hooked one of them up to a battery and holy cow is it bright  I'm glad I didn't get the high powered version, would have been way overkill. I might be buying a few of the marine version for our boat as well. These are awesome little lights.

Eventually I might tap a pair of them into my camper shell dome light for some more light back there. Under the bed rails or something.

Thanks man. It's coming along nicely. I hope to get new tires this summer and possibly a winch by fall. Then I think I'm done. I swear, lol.

I'm taking it in to get the carrier bearing replaced. I think it just went out. Spent yesterday morning trying to tow a friends FJ out of the snow unsuccessfully and now I've got a pretty good squeal under the truck.

    :bananadance: got another one! Haha

Side note, the squeal went away randomly. Now my clunking is back in full force. Still not sure what it is but it's bugging the shit out of me. Happens mostly while turning right, but sometimes left too. Also happens any time I go over uneven road.

Also, I WANT MY DAMN BUMPER ALREADY!

I'd say in the next couple weeks hopefully. But I still haven't been seen the final bill yet, so who knows. I guess his laser cutter shorted him a few pieces so he's trying a new place out right now.

Yup!! you got the same exact lift/look I'm going for except I plan to get a Cascadia RTT and bed rack. Haven't decided between 882s or 883s. I have heard the 882s ride smoother. :notsure: Did you get the Dakars extra leaf or the Wheelers AAL?

See, I really want a RTT too. But I don't think my leaf springs would like it very much with the weight of my shell, a tent, two people, and gear in the bed. Allpro expos would suit me better for that I think. But, I can't afford much for the truck anymore so that'll be further down the road anyway.

I have the Dakar AAL, not wheelers. I would definitely recommend it. Especially with 882/883 coils. It had the perfect stance right after installing everything but the rear has settle/sagged a little so it's pretty much level now. Once I get my bumper I hope I get some rake back.

I'm also happy with the weight capacity of the springs with AAL. Better than expected for sure.

I'm pretty sure I carry more weight than you do with my RTT and my Dakars w/AAL do well with it. The AllPro Expos might still be better suited, but if you don't have that weight on the truck all the time, they might be pretty harsh.

If you haven't checked it yet, take a close look at the main eye bushings on your leaf springs. I think I already mentioned the possibility of the leaf spring clamp contacting the fuel tank as a source of a clunking noise, but another reason is the bushings. I was getting a noise like you describe recently and it was almost exactly the same symptoms. Would happen when turning and going over uneven surfaces. Turned out that my main eye bushings were shot and the leaf spring was sliding side to side in the spring hanger. The noise came from the spring hitting the side of the hanger. It would shift when I turned and occasionally shift when going over bumps.

It wouldn't surprise me if that's your problem especially if your Dakars were like mine and came with the main eye bushings already pressed in. It is common for the inner sleeve to seize up and tear free of the rubber bushing, but that can happen even faster in harsh climates like you deal with in Alaska. I replaced my bushings with OEM ones, but you could look at replacing them with poly ones too.

Yeah you probably do carry more weight than I do, but I have a tendency to put way too much crap in the bed when camping. I'm generally the only person with a truck so I take most of the gear. Adding 150+ pounds of tent and it wouldbe worse. Guess I'll have to pack smarter if I go that route.

And I'll have to check the main eye bushings. They were pressed in already so that may be the problem. I hope not though. It does make sense though. I've been convinced it's a bushing somewhere because it only happens in below freezing weather. So maybe that bushing is shot and the cold shrinks it a bit more causing more play. A poly one would hopefully solve that problem. I really don't want to take them apart again though haha.

Finally got a good dumping of snow tonight. I'd guess around 20". Or whatever the height to the bottom of the doors is. Also tested the blue D2 lens. It helps a little in the snow. Still too bright some of the time though.
