lucky bastard haha. Yeah I love my 14". I've never heard an 18" in person but my 14" is perfect for me.. It's pretty loud at low rpm's but once you get barely above 2k (highway speeds) you can't hear it anymore. Plus it sounds badass outside the truck.. Definitely not ricey at all

Well I haven't done anything to the truck recently. I'm packing up for a 4 day fishing trip right now and I'm impressed with how these dakars and AAL handle the weight. I'm not even halfway loaded up but they aren't sagging at all. This trip is why I chose this setup. We'll see what she looks like when I finish packing, but so far so good!

I thought I would have bought new tires before this trip, but I decided to save my pennies and buy them this fall instead.

Quick pics before fishing. I've got a full row of firewood stacked to the top of my shell in there with a ton of other gear. Not a single inch of space left in the truck lol.

Well I came back with 80 sockeye. 41 for me and 39 for my friend. And we ate a few in the beach where we camped too. Truck did good and I didn't come back with too bad of a sun burn. Man was it hot and sunny. Bluebird days the whole trip.

    Here's the camp

    5C9F5B35-88E3-4F5F-ABAE-8632716FAEF3-434_3c0ef81f1e2261dfad6be00b0c239e176ab4de77.jpg

Had to change the payload up a bit on the way back to town. It hauled it just fine but my suspension definitely felt it.

And the day after I got back was my 25th birthday so I went out on my dads boat and fished for some silvers. Only caught one silver, but managed to haul in 5 kings. Five! Kings haven't been around the last few years so this was pretty amazing. Happy birthday to me!

They were all white kings too. Instead of having the normal orange meat, it's white. Kind of like halibut. Tastes great. Here's a pic of a piece we cooked that night.

And last but not least, I finally got my CB antenna mount from BAMFs group buy! The thing looks awesome.

Installed my CB the other day. And just now finished running the coax from front to back. I bought 20' instead of the precut 18' that firestik recommends. I ended up with a foot extra so I'm glad I went with 20' and I used a better cable than the standard rg58.

I'm waiting until Thursday to finish it up. That's when the stud to mount the antenna comes. I'll post pics then. Until then, here's a few from last weekend.

Got the CB install done today. I only have a phone so sorry for the low quality.

I haven't tuned it yet but will in the next few days. Btw I'd highly recommend the loom I used. Called tech flex. It's awesome. It's not waterproof but its a mesh that is like a Chinese finger trap so it fits a wide range of wires. And it looks awesome.

I got them from blitzpro. I like them. They definitely aren't UV proof though...the powder coating on the front bar is flaking off at some spots and has faded to a grey color. I love the two on the back though. Perfect for lighting up camp sites and for using as reverse lights.

Haha thanks. My build page has been more of a photo gallery for non truck related things lately.

Although I did just make an order at work today for some stuff from Rigid Industries...:spy:

I definitely want a bumper up front...let's put it that way. In certain road conditions I think they're too stiff, but at other times I think they're amazing. A little extra weight on them will help a ton I think.

Maybe. I tend to run my tires at 40-45 psi as well which I know doesn't help. It rides better at 32-35 but I don't like the way it handles cornering when I run it that low.

Same, E rated as well. Yeah maybe I'm more picky. I mean it's not like driving a one ton or anything, I just figured they would soak up small bumps/washboard ruts better than the do. Big bumps and potholes are not a problem and I actually hit a steep drop every day on the way home from work purpose because it's so smooth haha.

Our roads are awful up here. Tons of cracks, frostheaves, and ruts. Our winters beat them up bad. Again, I'm pretty sure a heavier bumper will make them ride a lot better on the washboard stuff. I know when I'm loaded for camping with a lot of gear I don't notice those bumps as much.

I never did take my sway bar off though. Could have a lot to do with it. I still probably won't do it...:anonymous:

Well I ordered some more lights yesterday so I needed to add more switches. Took out the factory clock and put this panel in there for two switches. I was going to make a panel out of ABS but turns out this thing fits in there nicely. I might change it so the switches are vertical, but that will require some cutting of yet dash and I don't really want to so that.

    FE887AAB-27D8-4A2A-9DFF-FCFC8DA454E1-143_ff77cde540ce46e19b0c0349b8ad8e850f6d95a5.jpg

Then before I put it all back together I decided I would finally add the fuse panel I've had laying around for months.

    Before:

    A1C2958E-2DC3-4E49-8698-54E0015D6A18-162_bd0ad2621679fdf810649ed8bfee4f92f4aff52f.jpg

    After:

    19CDB0DE-261E-41C2-BD76-A83C7C85B6FC-162_ada4b631731ca8bb3c5102669bd4bfacfe84c568.jpg

Cleaned it up a little. Nothing like I've seen some people do, but I was tired at looking at everything hooked to my battery. I'll go back and loom everything that I can and clean it up even more when I have more light. It's dark at 8pm now...I'm used to working on my truck with daylight until well past 10pm :/

Ok so I was able to fit the panel in there do the switches sit vertically. I didnt push it in hard enough before

And I attempted to take my sway bar off. After getting halfway through one bolt I remembered why I didn't do it when I did my suspension. Too rusted on there and I can get enough leverage. Oh well, I don't wheel it enough to justify it off anyway.

Also found why my retro high beams weren't working. Loose connection into the harness. Driver side solenoid is stuck though so it only comes on halfway on high :/
