Hey guys and gals, sorry if this is the wrong sub to submit this to but I trust y'all more than anyone. My Fiance has a ton of questions regarding which Rav4 to get in her price range and I honestly have no idea. I'm a taco man through and through and thought maybe this would be the sub to ask questions or post links. She's really not the best with subreddits or forums.

I bragged to her about this website a ton for research, if this is the correct forum or if I'm in the wrong place of anyone could let me know that would be appreciated. I see posts all of the time on wether or not it's a good deal on tacomas, etc. Hopefully this is the right spot!

These are the three she is looking at. I honestly might just hand her the phone tomorrow and let her talk. Lol She is stuck on the newer body style because it looks sexy but wants the best bang for her buck. If anyone has any kind of input that would be great. I have zero knowledge of the Ravs and the dos or do nots.

My fiance has a 2017 Rav4 XLE and she absolutely loves it! I dont drive it much but its been nothing but good to us. Awesome gas mileage and a smooth quiet ride.

The GF had to get a new car last year and wanted a rav4. We were going to get a previous gen CPO but after she test drove both it wasn't even close. I sat in the back seat for both test drives and the new gen was just overall better. The updated interior makes a big difference too. She ended up with a new 2019 XLE

Edit- also the gas mileage averaging 34ish city/highway is amazing compared to the Tacoma.

2019 was the new style and we saw the most issues with the 19's.

2021 has a lot of refinements and the hybrid is actually very pleasant to drive. Lots of torque and it tugs along while getting great fuel economy.

We have a 17 and the HV model wasn't as enjoyable to drive so we stuck with the gasser.

If I were to buy a Rav4 again it will be a Hybrid. But likely my next car will be a highlander hybrid.

2020 Lunar Rock Hybrid XLE for my wife, she loves it. I am pretty tall and am comfortable in all the seats. Very nice to drive and overall we are very pleased with it.

    Be wise.

    Let her pay for it.
Her name only on the title, documents, loans, insurance.......

    Let it be HER car.

After you are married, then monkey with the name changes.

I've seen several fiance' deals go bad and turn into finance deals with one person holding a dirty stick and no ride.

FWIW, my wife was looking at RAV4 and CR-V. She choose the Honda CR-V because she felt it had more cargo space.

My wife and I have a 14 Limited we bought used a while ago. We really like it but if I were to do it again I would have gotten the hybrid. The new ones are really good looking and the hybrid is even better now.

Before my Taco and before my kids left the nest i had a 2017 RAV4 XLE i liked it, great practical car. My lady is a Suby gal and she loves her Cross Treks, I think she is on her third one. A Subaru Cross Trek is hands down way more fun to drive than a RAV 4, but the RAV is good old reliable Toyota.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
The race are pretty solid cars. The hybrids honestly are great for the extra fuel mileage, and they’re just dead nuts reliable. My sister has a 20 and she loves it. After years of her being a Nissan/Ford fan. Once I got her into a Toyota she’ll never go back
