Nope, just a single dad, trying to make it in this world. I am finally ready to bite the bullet on a new vehicle and car payment and another Tacoma felt like the thing to do. And I was am pretty underwhelmed by the 2016 I drove and the most glaring and annoying thing was the mirror blocking my line of vision. Maybe I had it built up in my mind to be 1000 times better than my old Tacoma. But in the end it's still just a truck and not a luxury sedan.

    Earth, I think.

I don't know, I drove my (well, given to my daughter but still in my name) 2001 SR5 Tacoma today and still like it, although it's completely different and rather primitive in many respects compared to my 2016 Limited. I'd probably still be driving it if she didn't need a vehicle. Like you say, they're still trucks.

Ugh, car payment? That's bad mojo in my book, cash only. Maybe you should keep driving the '99 for awhile until your budget and expectations meet.
