Seatbelt Mike is a stupid tool. He needs his ass kicked over the turd quality of the 3rd gen.

You think the Tacoma has problems...I had a 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk before the Tacoma. Spend some time over at the Jeep Cherokee Club forums and read the sh**storm some of those threads became.

We have some insane threads in this 3rd gen forum as well. Seatbelt Bracket Mike was a student of the Chrysler brand before coming to Toyota. Poor quality and design flaws seem to have followed him there.

I'm aware, I've read them all.

This is page 1 of 17 on their transmission forum. Look at the number of replies and views. Many people had their transmissions replaced, some more than once. I took a loss on a vehicle with only 6800 miles on it for a reason. (Well the transmission and the fact that after 22 years of driving a truck, I couldn't drive anything else) I'm very happy with my 3rd Gen.

I'm glad you are happy with your 3rd gen. There are many others that aren't fully satisfied with theirs. A few have had transmission replacements. The issues aren't on the level of Chrysler product fails but at the same time it's not at the level of superb quality that Toyota used to be known for.

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
If I remember correctly, Mike made reduction of NVH a main goal for the 3rd gen. I often think about this as my hands slowly numb on my vibrating steering wheel, and I've come to the following conclusion: either Mike failed miserably or second gen owners are tough as hell.

My Tacoma is flawless and had had not issue. But if
I had the choice, I rather have a Hillux.
Its a shame, but I don't think it helps that its built domestically.
Probably a top down issue from management to the assemblers.
