Your '05 most likely does not have DRL from the factory.
My '08 doesn't either. It was not included with all option packages until '12 or so... may still not be included with the base model.

On our trucks, the two lights in the center are only turn signals, the two on the sides are parking lights.

The instructions are generic, I think they cover a number of applications. Essentially, you have different rubber gaskets and trim rings to fit the different keyways of certain bulbs.

There is a control box that interprets the DRL signal (white light) vs the turn signal (amber light), and it also acts as a resistor. Hardest part was figuring out a place to mount the box (1 for each side). From there it is plug and play. Remove old incandescent, plug in CK base adaptor, plug in control box wire, set up the Triton LED, you can adjust the depth relative to the reflector, and enjoy.

For the '12 and up guys, there is a lead wire they can tap so the DRL dims to 50% when headlights are on.

Very easy mod, if one has even a dram of mechanical ability.

C'mon toyota. Lights are as basic as you can get on a damn truck with thousands of parts on it! What a joke.
