    Damn.
What everyone else says, man. File complaints and posted negatives reviews.
Then take your business to a different Toyota dealership (avoid Autonation)
Best of luck! Hope you get yourself into a sweet Tacoma soon, but without all the bullshit...

Not even sure why there is a debate over Colorados and Tacomas? Hahaha

Similar deal here. Made the deal and they had to get from another dealer that it was to be dropped off at, Since it had already left the port. They tacked $900 on for the PU and delivery from out of state. Well then I got a call that they didn't get it and they were going to get one being built, wouldn't be here till February... 35-40 minutes later get a call it was on another truck and was going to be delivered that night, all good right... Wrong. When I got there and we were finishing the financing they had to redo all the paperwork (different serial number) didn't think much of it till I noticed the steps were not on the truck, or some other of the accessories on the sheet I was showed to make the deal. While they did add all the accessories. On MyToyota Owners site I noticed initial service was at a dealer less then 20 miles from here. They will not give the $900 back, yet, I to am going to Toyota as this is BS and never encountered anything like this in any deal I have ever made and I trade a lot.

lol I dunno. There are a lot of Colorado defenders floating on this forum, which I do find strange. We should probably expect the trend to be an expression of bias toward Tacoma, given the venue. Either way, even though we all agree the new Collies are decent trucks, plenty of threads end up with tiny little side debates. I'm guilty as charged of chiming in. Exhibit A.

    haha love point 2!!

Resale value is a lot closer then people want to believe. Right now there is about a 1.5% difference. Thats about 800 bucks in the long run. Plus the Gen 1 Twins (I can completely agree those things are garbage) have actually done well on resale value. They have kept about 52 - 58% value after 5 years. Tacoma sits about 60%.

@JimJustJim True, that is expected. I'm definitely biased towards Tacomas. Grew up with them, Toyota in general.
And this forum definitely doesn't help either haha.
But there are a few trucks out there I'm not totally against..

I think its more of a "give credit where credit it due" thing. Not taking ANY thing away from Tacomas. I love them, even the 3rd gen. But its hard to ignore the competition now.

Well in that case I stand corrected on resale value. I was just basing claim 1 on personal experience with my 2nd gen. Narrow sighted of me.

BUT ARGUMENT 2 STILL STANDS, BY GOLLY.

Sorry to hear that and agree it's complete BS, shit didn't happen, they sold it because they were
offered more cash. I would of lost my shit on the manager that said that!! Find a new dealer, I'd
never deal with a place like that. Sounds like the tools I dealt with @ Haley in Va. a garbage dealer
that can't seem to tell truth from fiction, I'd never return there or recommend them.

When I had issues they said the same about the customer service/relations person who presented herself
in email as a Toyota representative when in fact I found out they work for the dealership and she was
just as useless as the rest of them.

I had a local dealer actually laugh at me on the phone when he said he was charging $500 over sticker and I said I planned on paying under. He actually asked me how that was going. He called me back three days later at which time I told him I bought one for under, and he hung up on me. I have 4 dealerships within an hour drive and had to drive more than 2 hours to get mine. Happy to do it to get what I want, for what I want, and deal with a good dealership.

I'm sure there's more to it than we see, with regards to ordering. My dealership actually worked really hard to find one locally that they could get shipped their way. No luck at the time.

To support this claim I will cite my good friend Mark. Mark was a Honda salesman for 3 years before he sold his house, moved out of state, and now lives in isolation in the middle of BFE, Texas while trying to have a go at owning his own business. He said he got tired of working with dicks.

Can't speak for every Nissan dealer but the ones I have been to are slimy as hell.

I'll side with your admission of being a cynic. Toyota and every other manufacturer has an interest in ensuring that the dealerships are representative of the brand and it's objectives. This is why dealerships are held to such high standards and graded on their HSI/CSI performance by the manufacturer. Failing dealerships are penalized and it can cost them many thousands of dollars if they are non-compliant with manufacturer standards. I promise you - you assume wrong. The manufacturers do care.

And I don't know what "fan boy" necessarily means, but it seems to me that if one becomes a "member" on this forum it is likely due to the fact that he/she is a fan of Tacoma's - so name calling "fan boy" is puzzling to me. Aren't we all fans if we're here? You don't have to like Tacoma's or Toyota at all - but please stop spreading your misery all over the forum. It's counter-productive.

As far as the release of the 2016 - I would imagine that any upcoming model that was followed so closely and under watchful eyes, these "problems" would stand out to a forum full of current/potential owners while the general public (aka: majority) would have no indication of any problems or delays in production should there be any.
