Many folks have mentioned this before but I haven't seen any clear answers.

Problem: These windshields are weak. Already had to replace one just a couple months into ownership (wasn't even behind anything when it cracked - but had turned my defrost on for the first time...)

Now a year later I have tiny scratches all over the windshield. I drive the same routes I always have and I've never had this kind of wear on a windshield. It almost looks like tiny bits of lint on the windshield in the sunlight but they are tiny scratches.

Question: I've never had great luck w/ waxes on windshields but what fillers/protectants are folks using and how can I clear up the scratches I have with something that has some holding power?

does look like a potential solution for the instrument cluster plexiglass though... tried a few other things that don't entirely fix those but still curious how this would fare on actual glass

this stuff is expensive on a quick search but does work great...used to be available at motorcycle places. They use it on their windscreens...

The only way to remove defects in glass is with a cerium oxide slurry and a DA or Rotary polisher.

CarPro makes a product called ceriglass and they also have rayon pads for polishers. Just a heads up-- it's a lot of work and takes a long time.

There are some good how-to threads on the Autogeek detailing forum that take you through the process. Maybe google "Mike Philips glass polishing" and see what you find over there.
