I freaking hate switch blanks. Think I have 3x in the TRD Sport, two by the ECT button and one by the highbeem button.

I have a 3D printer. I am creative and crafty. Suggestions or ideas? Functional or artistic! Most of my thoughts come back to various lighting options, like exterior spotlights or interior bed/camper lighting.

I say let the need fill the switch. Don't go finding a switch to make a need.

    Some of my switches -

    Ch4x4 dual light switch:

Heated seat switches that came with the kit:

Stock switch relocation using a 3d printed panel:

Decide what you need first. Switches come later.

I mean, I understand. I'm in the opposite boat - my 3d printer arrives tomorrow and I'm running around the house looking for things to print.

Man I cannot stop finding items to print. I fixed a door the other day by sliding the strike plate up with a printed adaptor. You any good at 3D modeling yet?

Hell no. I'm still practicing slicing.

I have fusion 360 and blender, but haven't run through the tutorials on either yet. I have a couple of RC car parts that I need to draw up as soon as I get to that step.

Awesome, best of luck! I do not speak either of those but I have gotten pretty far with FreeCAD, feel like my own imagination and skill hold me back more than the program at this point. It certainly took a while, though.

I have two printers now. Creality's CR-10SProV2 and Ender3. I have printed switch panels, light holders for LED strip lights under my RTT, shims for my spot lights, end caps for tube bumpers, hanger clips for my Luci lights, stackable leveling shims for my camp kitchen when rocks just wont cut it, and best yet, the coin holder for a tall switch blank. Thingiverse is your friend. I use Solidworks to manipulate downloaded prints and Cura to slice.

@Rock Lobster did you wire a fused relay in line with the CH4x4? If so, can I trouble you for deets, please and thank you.

I did a brief summary of that install in this post.

    ...

I purchased this to do the relocate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y34F1ZV?ie=UTF8&th=1

Each switch has five wires - to give a brutally simple and slightly inaccurate summary, three wires have to do with the switch function (trigger, ground, indicator light), and the other two control dashboard illumination. So I used the 6-core speedwire to relocate the core functions of the two switches, and I tapped into the pre-existing switch upstairs to restore the dash illumination.

After getting the splice/soldier figured out, running that single cable from lower dash to overhead was easy. I just snaked it up the passenger pillar.

There are wiring diagrams of every single switch and panel if you search around on this site - it helps in decoding wire colors and what is going where.

Yes I did. I actually installed a cheap fuse block under the hood (keeps things organized) and mounted my light relays next to it.

Relay harnesses kind of overwhelmed me at first, but after looking at a few diagrams, they were easy enough to figure out. After that its just a question of how best to keep the spaghetti organized.

Thank you!! I'll check back when the image loads properly because I am considering adding a block as well.
