pretty much iford or kodak D 76 developers. What ever they stocked at the time in my schools darkroom. It's been a while since I've gotten my hands on a tank and some reels.

When I was more actively shooting concerts, i updated my site often http://www.falldownhard.com/ Now it's mostly just a film dump when I do process some stuffs. a Majority of my work on this site is film. Maybe one ot two sections were shot on digital.

love pushing film. Kodak tri-x is a 400 speed film but does amazing at 1600 iso. Also love the harsh lighting of crappy flash.

I started out with an inherited Pentax ME from my late father, and acquired a K1000 from a supportive teacher in high school who saw potential in me.
Had an application approved for photography school first year out of high school and started shooting with a Pentax K10D. Was just about to pay the tuition and start my life as a photographer when my car was broken into in downtown winnipeg, they took my K10D+Lenses..

The thought of taking pictures was insulting enough to me after that, that it's now be well over a decade and I'm only just starting to shoot again. Had some friends give me a Nikon 3200 that has been responsible for half my shots here, but my time in photo-shops is inspiring me to get out and shoot film on the Pentax ME while there are still labs that can develop films at all..

I still have 4 or 5 rolls of undeveloped B&W/color film that could be fun to get processed, but also maybe not.

Film teaches a lot about composition and lighting and the rest, I think a person should spend time shooting without a light meter just to force the brain to figure out and at least consider film speed, f-stops, and shutter speed.

I always loved low light, long exposure shots. My jam was always going out at 3 in the morning with a tripod and remote and scavenging unsuspecting light sources, and painting strange features in the background of a landscape.

Life is busy now, but I should really make a little film one of my personal priorities. If I do, I'll be sure to share my experience here, Good Thread Idea!

Dang, that is rough! Hope you find the motivation to get back into it. I live in a beach community and used to hang out late till last call most nights photographing the bar goers and other shenanigans, the night is a wonderful time for photography. I have the day off today and my lady is working so I may walk around and try and kill the rest of a roll in my leica.

I hope that you do find the inspiration to start shooting film. It sucks that someone broke into your car and stole all that gear I can't stand a thief.and or would be awesome to get those old rolls of film developed just to see what was on them.

I’ve gone through a few film cameras in the last few years: Leica R3, Pentax k1000, Canon AE1. I sold all those and only shoot film with a Canon QL17. The thing is tiny and the lens is absolutely superb. Plus the small size means I can get 39 shots from a 36 roll.867BCD4F-A52E-4CD0-A21A-BEF0B75E5366.jpg
