Yah dawg that's just my mess around bike... Here's my DH sled
    [IMG]

But yah, I hear you on driver makes biggest difference in mileage.... I think it was just the first tank was shitty cuz it's been sitting in a garage for a few years. I filled her up today and shuttled from 11 to 6 and only used a quarter tank so shits good to go now....

I live in Santa Cruz so ride basically everyday. That's actually a 2006 40 with new lowers.

    Yo dudes

Basically, I'm going to do the deckplate mod thing tomorrow but I was thinking I don't really feel like going through the effort of getting the actual deckplate and since I live in California and don't really schmobb gnar off road I was thinking whether or not it would be chillin if I just left it as a hole?? Like do people just run their deckplates open all the time and theres no real downside? I mean.... sounds pretty pointless to put that thing in if I'm not even going to need to use it since I don't plan on driving through any ponds hahahahaha

Also..... the intake silencers? I don't want to fuck with the U-shaped one on the bottom cuz it looks squirrely to mess with but I was thinking the box one wouldn't be too much of a hassle... what exactly would be the benefit of covering the inlet for the silencer box? Wouldn't it provide even more direct air flow to the engine??

Andddddd finalllllyy how would I go about getting a black grill up front because mines all chrome and I want something like this one
    [IMG]

Thanks in advance for bothering if you answer, I'm pretty clueless

i leave my deckplate off all the time unless im off-roading in some real deep water. Driveing in the rain wont hurt it.
