Its my first skid i mocked up and still a work in progress. Only reason I made one is because no one offers a real skid for 6". let me know what all you think as for improving it. Next project is mid and rear skids that cover the trans and maybe a rear diff skid.

    lol, thanks

i was talking to my fab guy about this when we were test fitting it. The mid and rear fitment is great. the front needs a lil work, but does fit on there with a lil love,:)

what do you guys think about the mounting location?

    any suggestions on the skids?

fyi: frt is 1/4 and mid/rear is 3/16

That's hilarious, I just saw the title and immediately thought "Gotta tell Gary bout this."

Looks great man! Simple and effective. We'll hopefully put em to use on sat. I'm gonna pick your brain about the design/Fab process, since I plan to build a fell set soon.

 exactly. The most important tool in the garage along with a tape measure and pencil.

Looks good, like what you've done. The only concern I'd have is where the mid skid mounts to the crossmember/link mounts. I'd maybe look at trying to tie it into the frame vs mounting to the link mounts. Maybe it'll be solid for what you do but I'd be afraid of dropping the truck hard on that skid with those mounts. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Just trying to help! :)

As for the link mounts, I was looking at that too, but thats the only place i can mount it too. I still have drill hole on the frt half to attach it to the frt skid so that will take some on the weight and as for the rear. its right on the link bracket so theres really not give there. i used a jack on it already and seems to be ok. I will be doing testing on it this weekend.
