I've had 2 Frontiers since 2008 and made the switch after my last Frontier was lost in an accident. Super excited to get the ORDC 6spd manual in silver. I've had plenty of silver cars but this silver is definitely a great one. Love the way it drives. I've been lurking on here and reading plenty and was a bit worried about some of the annoyances people post about...headrests, clutch feel, etc etc. and I can say with just a couple drives those worries were all put to rest. It's a great truck. I was able to configure it a bit when my dealer was able to secure the allocation, but I wasn't able to remove the tonneau cover and it's the only thing on this truck I'm not crazy about so someone is going to get a screaming deal on one. I've read the rules and I can't sell it until I have 50 posts so I guess it'll be a bit lol. Anyway thanks to everyone on here for educating me through all your writing and research it is certainly much appreciated and I hope I can add to the Tacomaworld community. Oh and the pics...imagine a silver one without decals or the V6 emblem ;)

I said the same thing about the hard tonneau on mine. Two years later it’s still there.

Welcome! I didn't love my tonneau cover at first, but I kept it as an option. I don't run it normally, but it is a bit of added security when camping and a bit of extra weight for the winter. Maybe give it a few months and see what you think.

We re just coming to snow weather and a bed cover is really helpful keeping snow and ice out of the bed and does provide some security for thing left in the bed(golf clubs)

Congrats to the op, but mentioning frontiers....I had one pull up to me yesterday in traffic. Those engines are so quiet compared to these 3.5 ones in the taco. As far as the overall bodywork on the taco vs the frontier, the taco is put together much nicer.

Thanks guys. I definitely will use a tonneau but I'm partial to the Bakflip. I really want to be able to open that panel closest to the cab at times. Now it's time to see if my Softopper from my Frontier will fit fingers crossed.

I like the debadged silver look. Would like to debadge 2017 now but I’m afraid color differences under the badge/sticker might be apparent . Niceeee.

Not a fan of de-badging, myself. However, you shouldn't have any issues. Maybe some swirl marks in the right light, but some polish and/or wax should help with that.

Funny mine is about 9 days old 300 miles on it. When I was looking I was looking for red, blue or (another color I cant remember) I remembering thinking from pictures. "I really dont want white OR silver" Then the perfectly equipped Tacoma popped up in my search. I immediately put a deposit down (It has the 3 fold Tonneau cover too which I wanted) When I got there I saw it. Pictures dont do that paint job justice. There is a blue to that silver that is gorgeous. Ive test drove and sat in a few of these and Silver quickly became my favorite. I thought it was "BORING" before but on a sunny blue sky day. That hood looks like british blue steel. I absolutely love mine. I want to put a roll/light bar on mine. Not sure how i am going to get that with the Factor Tonnaeu cover but I am sure there is a thread on here about it. Nice pick on the silver. Im a fan.

The lights are a matter of perspective. My ORDCSB is also Celestial Silver - you are right about the color when the sun hits. ☀️
