Finally am able to join Taco world

In the midst of purchasing my first Tacoma, first truck actually. Super stoked its an '08 4x4 double cab, 180k miles on it and I've been looking for a taco for months. I'm really excited to build over the years.

How's the frame for rust ?

 

Frame is good on rust as in none, truck spent time in Cali and Arizona before I bought it so not bad environments for rust. I'm moving to Hawaii in about 8 months so I'm going to be prepping the undercarriage for rust prevention as well as hopefully getting a lift with some bigger tires on it before I'm out of here.

The lift and tires might be on hold as I might want to regrear it before I get tires and lift which will push my timeline back some. The rust prevention will be priority.

 

Am I just coating the entire under carriage with that or is there things I should avoid while coating?

Avoid all rubber, but I've never seen damage to rubber from over spray.
Do not coat exhaust or brakes.

 

Copy that

 

Rinse off road salts with fresh water and apply every Spring and Fall.
Stay away from undercarriage rinse at Car Wash that recycle water, it's BRINE.
