I haven't owned a Tacoma in 13 years! Finally, after all this time I got a 2016 TRD off-road 4x4. I couldn't be happier being back in a Tacoma! Can't wait to get it dirty!

Anything helpful I should know about or any tips would be awesome! Thanks!

My mpg per tank, from what the computer says is right at 20 mpg. I seem to get better mpg in the city averaging between 40-50mph at 20 mpg than highway going 75 mph at 18.5 mpg. Why is this happening and is this a reason to go back to the dealership?

Trucks are coming from the factory with low transmission fluid. This is causing a variety of odd behavior. Did you read the post that I posted?

I just got done reading the whole thread and just saw your post. Thanks for the tip and will be checking my transmission fluid tomorrow. No odd behavior so far on my side as I've put just under 1k miles on it.

Hopefully yours is full and won't experience any of the odd behavior.

There's no excuse from a dealer for selling a brand new truck with low fluid. Smh. Not that this has to do with low fluid, but I have read on multiple reports that the transmission adapts to the driver over a period of the first 1200 mi or so and the transmission smooths out. Either way, low fluid is bs. Good luck bro.
