I have been sitting and thinking about doing this forever!! So i was at Wallymart and saw a can of the proper paint and decided it was time. I think it was worth the $6. What do you guys think? I'll shoot one with it on the truck tomorrow, but i thought i would put it out there now, lol.

Step 0: Open a nice bottle of beer for the waiting periods
    Step 1: Open the hood
Step 2: Reach behind the grille and lightly push down on the 2 tabs holding the emblem on, then push out. Emblem pops right off
Step 3: Wash emblem with soapy water and dry off
Step 4: Take ultra fine steel wool and lightly rough up the shiny surface
step 5: Wash emblem with soapy water and dry off again
Step 6: Take a coat hanger and make a nice little stand to hold up the emblem, so you can spray from all sides, also put something down so you don't ruin your nice garage floor (important if you are renting, lol)
Step 7: Take a can of Krylon Fusion Paint in your favorite color and spray a nice even light coat over the entire surface
Step 8: Wait 15 mins and apply another good coat over entire surface
Step 9: Let dry for a couple of hours and wash with soapy water and dry
Step 10: Apply a healthy coat of wax
Step 11: Sit back and look at the nice job you did

a lil overkill in the step dept, but yeah, incase anyone wanted to know, lol.

EDIT: I have recently been told that Fusion Paint can indeed hold up with clear coat, so i will be removing the wax and adding a couple of layers of clear, to help handle the gravel i often encounter, lol. So i suppose this would be a step 8.5 if one wishes to clear coat.
