Beautiful truck. I was trying to pick between this and the AC Offroad. I went with the AC Offroad in the same colour - i couldn't get them to swap that hood for a plain one on the DC. Put my deposit down today and pick up the truck Saturday!

4 wheel drive with out a locker is still 2wd. 2wd with a locker is true 2wd. we wont get into that argument, and when you plan on going fast in the desert 4wd is not needed. extra weight and shit to go bad. we could also argue that the OP is getting 4x4 when its not going to even go offroad. waste of money. Wonder where the name "prerunner" came from huh? pre-running desert courses. but im not here to argue that or bash anyones decision i was just simply stating that in the OR version you get a electronic Dif lock that could be useful and your 4wd truck could atleast be a true 3 wheel drive vehicle and you would have something o say if you were climbing a mountain or stuck in something.

to who was asking whatever decision you make you will be happy with I am biased to the OR the billies are nice to have and the locker is too just in case you get in a sticky situation. Great looking truck and be prepared for knuckleheads all over the site :)

He doesn't offroad much, so it'll be useless. Besides, he'll have the electronic LSD which will be more than sufficient for his needs.

That said, I love my Rear Locker. It's helped me a few times now.

Good ol 7M GTE with LHD. Most now are RHD because all the LHD have been crashed/rusted/stripped. The drifting craze of F&F didn't help preserve any either

Yeah, but you didn't say you were going to hardcore wheel it either. The Non OR models have a larger ring gear which doesn't break as easily as us with our OR and stock lockers.

hey just wondering how much u paid, im from bc too and our prices are way diff than the states. right now website price is about 41k for 2012 double cab trd sport (sport seats not leather) i was thinking about trying to get a deal. looking at forums dealer markup is 10%. trying to get em down to like 37.5k including all taxes, and few accessories like hood scoop, window visors, and side step bars (tube not running). what do u think ?

keep in mind the '12's went down in price. If you look on the site a TRD Sport 6spd DC is about $38 all in (plus whatever fees).

Ran into some fellow wheelers on the weekend and had a good time in Elk Falls. I added the "custom scratch from bushes" mod too.

I can't see them coming down that far. Their margins are pretty thin and 37.5K must be pretty close to their wholesale price.

Ahead of negotiating, I got the wholesale price for the truck I wanted from CarCostCanada.com and then added a 6% mark-up to get what I thought was a fair price. I got my TRD Offroad Access Cab for about 37K - about $1K lower than the MSRP. I plan to get my accessories after market - I think you'll get better value and quality on things like the Tonneau and Side Bars there than at the dealer. I also avoided their 'rust-proofing' - instead I drove it straight off their lot and into the nearest Krown Centre to get it treated.
