That doesn’t sound fun at all haha.

3rd gen clutch is pretty forgiving to drive, even without the stupid accumulator.

Why stop there? Single cab, stick shift, hand adjustable mirrors, blaupunkt cassette player.

This is where I make the obnoxious post that at least in it's current state I'd prefer the Tacoma's 6MT to my Vette's 6MT for around town driving.

The Vette shines when you're beating on it, but it kinda really stinks otherwise. I'm not sure how much of it is prior owner syndrome and it just needs a rebuild, but yeah. I've stalled my Tacoma once in reverse, I've stalled the C5 more than all my other manuals combined including my STi which none of my manual driving friends could drive consistently without stalling.

One odd thing about this truck I noticed after I brought it home... No storage compartment on the driver's side of the bed. Is this a 3rd gen shortbed thing? DCLB had them on both sides and so did all 3 of the 05's I had and two of those were shortbeds.

It's the year not the bed size. Driver's side storage compartment was discontinued around 2019-2020 on all bed sizes, I believe.

Hmmm. I may have to find one and add it back. Being a TRD it has the tiny one only. Can only fit 2 ratchet straps in it.

I put my ratchet straps behind the rear seats.

I doubt I'll ever DD a manual car again but will always own one. I'll say though a cable operated clutch can get heavy in traffic.
