Finally coming back to a Tacoma.. are the TRD pros still made in Texas?

Hey everyone,

I’ve decided to come back to a Tacoma after trading my second Gen taco for a tundra back in 17. I no longer have the tundra and miss having a mid sized pick up. That and not being able to tow my boat the last year has been killing me (just a aluminum 17 foot boat nothing heavy). I have also moved to an area with a lot of trails and areas to explore. I’m kind of deade set on the TRD pro manual. I would like to buy used but when the costs of a used taco is more than a new one I’ll more than likely wait and buy new. It’s been a while since I’ve been here a lot has changed.. all 2022 tacos are made in Mexico now? I have searched all day and can’t find any info on where the TRD pros with manual transmissions are made.. are they still made in Texas? I know the plant in Mexico is a very renowned plant and has scored better than the plant in Texas.. just would prefer to buy US “assembled” IF I can.

 

They are now made in Mexico. Consensus is no detectable difference in quality.

 

Early 2021 builds were the last manufactured in Texas
