Finally let my friend click the checkout button for buying my new double din headunit. Decided on getting the AVH-p4300 from pioneer. Now i gotta go out and grab that toggle switch and some wire for this dvd bypass.

Using a relay makes it easier to use then a switch.

I am just finishing an install on a Pioneer AVH-P3300BT.

You can use a toggle switch to operate the DVD bypass. A much cleaned install is to use a 12V relay that operates from the hot lead to an aftermarket amp. Then just switch ground from the relay contacts to the lead that you would connect to the parking brake sensor.

The hot lead operated about 1 second after the HU is turned on and gives you the time delay you need.
