front shocks, not the rears bud....I did the rears at 150k & 300k,
will do the rears again at 450k

btw - I still have the original rear factory brakes in place at 341k miles
    have lots of life left

wonder how much crap Im going to get for not upgrading or rebuilding my rear brakes for so long?
    lol....TW is a nutty place

Rears should only last about 150,000 miles, if they are adjusted every tire rotation (which none are)

Most rear shoes are changed due to axle seals blowing all over them.

my shocks are 10 years old and have 100k on them but they feel fine. I am on the fence about replacing them for the hell of it.

Im proud of myself for driving the snot outta my taco & getting every penny's worth outta her
    never crashed her
never been to a dealership or mechanic
always did what she was made for
& many of the factory parts have outlasted industry expectations
(my factory front brake pads/rotors lasted to 150k, the original serp belt didnt get changed until 160k, rear shocks 1st swaped at 150k,
factory front shocks to 340k, original rear brakes still going)
goes to show toyota R&D'd a great gen2 tacoma in the early 2000's

sorry if this comes off as cocky, not my intention
rather I want to scream to the world (tacomaworld in particular)
THIS IS THE BEST TRUCK EVER!

you should absolutely be proud of the truck. We're all proud for our toyotas. But it may be not what you're saying, but how you're saying it that it's coming off real cocky. Just my .02 that's all. I'll see myself out now. :burnrubber:

    I'm on a mission to 500k
When I set my mind on something
    I see it through

3 years to 500k according to my current driving habits

I have lots of confidence in my gen2 taco to cover the remaining 155k miles needed to achieve 500k

Will keep the forum posted as I push through
For the Supporters & haterade sippers alike
    Lol
