Put about 350 lbs worth of landscaping accent rocks in the bed and now she stops smooth as butter.

I know not the fix you were looking for, but it does lend itself to the whole shimming the rear axle, etc, theory.

Exactly. Maybe eventually I can get some TRD branded bags of sand from the dealer.

Just a Snug Top with Sportsman’s package 1 inch lift and 265/75-16 Duratracs.
My truck randomly shimmied from day one. I never brought it back and now it’s got 26k miles...I guess I still have a warranty and could bitch about it but I’ve checked it out and I don’t think they’ll resolve it honestly, so I just never even bothered to take it in. FWIW I’m a experienced mechanic and have extensive experience with just about everything automotive, I’m far from perfect but the truck checks out for drive line angles, brakes, tires, you name it.

As far for the weight thing, when I got my Snugtop with the sportsman’s package (I think my topper is around 200 pounds but I could be wrong), the shimmy noticeably improved as well. It’s really annoying because my truck will be smooth like butter and other times it shakes so bad you can see the passenger seat bounce or the dang drinks in my cup holders will shake. It’s kind of unfortunate there seems to be no real solution for it, maybe it I ever buy a Four Wheel Camper it’ll be fixed for good, lol.

I had rumble strip vibes on acceleration and deceleration, from 0 to about 20. After i torqued the ubolts properly (they were nowhere near spec) it went completely away

Heard someone on here had dealer adjust a rod in the brake booster to eliminate this.
