On behalf of many of us who might possibly prefer driving a legit bad-boy Raptor made in Detroit instead of the very expensive Pro from Guanajuato, but are frightened by bedtime stories of Ford quality frequently shared here….I sincerely hope that you are able to share a positive ownership experience.

Good luck, we’re all counting on you….

We had a manual Ford from the 80's. It was a solid ride until it was deer rolled.

    Don't veer for dear.

Yeah that Raptor looks nice, color is a win with that black trim.

Had two Fords, a new 90 Probe that burned a quart of oil every 1500 miles. Dealership stiff armed me with "It's normal". Drove it 175k miles, and then sold it for 1k. Ran great except for eating that much oil. A 92 Conversion Van that travelled coast to coast US and same in Canada. Never had a problem with it, 250k. Changed an alternator on one trip, that's all. So, i've had good experiences with Ford's from the 90's. GM's, not so much. Our Garage is Toyo's now. Had a 17' 4Runner with 90k never had an issue except bluetooth speaker blown, dealership replaced just after warranty expired. Now I have a 23'OR MGM and the Mrs has a 24' hybrid LXE Rav4. That hybrid gets friggin 45mpg, insane.

A friend in high school rolled his Grand Cherokee when he veered for a squirrel.

Wonder what the HP would have been if the Tacoma would have kept the V6 and added a turbo to that. Paired with this new 8 speed transmission, I bet there would be less complaints about the current pricing.

I've been looking at the new ZR2 Colorado. Can get one very nicely equipped with front and rear lockers for the came money as a "loaded" SR5.
