Finally found a good use for the cubby below and to the left of the steering wheel.

So I recently replaced my headlight lamps (with regular Osram halogens) and my reverse lamps with some high output leds. It has been brought up in previous led posts that the high output reverse lamps could burn out on a long back up down a trail, so I figured I would throw the old ones in the truck, just in case. I decided for poops and chuckles to see if I could stash my old, but still good headlamps in too and sure enough they all fit in that formerly un-used little cubby below and to the left of the steering wheel that doubles as a fuse box cover. The lamps are wrapped up more carefully than shown in the pictures. Here are some pics, and also the before/after reverse lights. They aren’t bright like the sun, but still better than the incandescents 0AA91307-D1E5-4863-BBF3-12031CDF49A6.jpg21DE0F1B-88E1-4DA0-B10F-BFA5BAC76BF5.jpg E0077E25-BA3A-48D0-B2ED-F0A13D2D5A5C.jpg27862518-118C-4C1E-A1A4-AD181A8C290F.jpg 69C63376-90C4-474E-8504-363A5DD107B9.jpg

I use it to hold the key to my trailer and the plug if I need to pull it to get the water out.

I had that pocket in my gayrolla. Way more useful than the 3g cubby.

I bought a used car from a crazy looking chick, possibly tweaking. Found behind the cubbie a bunch of white powder all caked on. Cleaned it out with wet paper towels.

I read a post that said that compartment was used as a coin compartment... i opened mine and found about $3-4 of quarters inside... can't remember putting that in there, but it was empty when i got the truck, so Surprise for Me!
