So I finally figured out where my dash rattle is originating from.

The stereo unit is vibrating. When I push the upper right corner of the unit where it meets the HVAC vent and dash the rattling stops.

There is some movement in this area when I push on it. All other corners no movement.

    How do I fix this?

Pop the faceplate off, I think there’s a couple of bolts/screws on the bottom and the rest is just clips. Behind there’s 4 (?), bolts holding the stereo unit bracket that you can tighten. It’s been a while since I’ve done this but search for stereo swaps and you should find what you need to get the faceplate off.

I have the same rattle and it's the clips not being in tight enough that causes it for me. I just added some sound deadner to the clips to make them fatter and that fixed it for me. Every time I take the face plate out I have to replace the sound deadener on the clips.

younger/dumber me pulled the tape from the pillar trim a few years ago for some dang reason. I started getting rattles these last few weeks. I investigated, remember what I did and replaced the tape. Sanity restored

Been having this on cold mornings also. Will try the foam tape trick. Hope it works for me.
