Yesterday I attached a gun rack to the roof basket. I'm going to use it for storage(ratchet straps, recovery straps, spare parts, etc.) Drilled some holes into the bottom of the box and put in some U bolts to mount it. Turned out pretty well and cleared out some cludder in the truck. Some pics.

I also found out that I ordered he wrong bearing kit for the supercharger. Luckily the only difference is 1 bearing is a different size. I emailed the supplier and he said we can exchange it.

Thanks man! It's my dream truck too! Only thing I wish it had was 4 doors but then I wouldn't have a manual!

Finally got around to getting the bed bedlined. I've just been waiting for the weather to get better and leaves to stop falling. I went with herculiner since I've used it before and it's pretty cheap. It turned out great! Next I'm going to put all new weather stripping for the camper shell to keep it water proof between the shell and the bed. Also, I'll wire up the third brake light and dome light in the camper shell. Anyways, here's some pics!

First time topless since I bought it pretty much!

    IMG_3030.jpg

    IMG_3031.jpg

Bed liner and camper shell removed.

    IMG_3032.jpg

Bunch of debris from the previous owner.

    IMG_3033.jpg

Went and bought a sander and prepped the bed. Definitely makes sanding the bed a lot quicker and easier!

    IMG_3034.jpg

All taped off and first coat applied.

    IMG_3035.jpg

Second coat applied and tape removed! Now we just wait for it to dry!

Ordered a front skid plate and a trans skid plate from All Pro Offroad today. Also got a call from CBI saying that UPS lost my frame reinforcement plates and they sent out some new ones!

Had the day off today and got bored so I decided to take off the fender flares to see if I liked it or not. Haven't really decided whether or not I like it or not. Put the fenders back on for now until they get messed up even more off road. I like how they give the truck a little more aggressive stance but I probably wouldn't run it like that without filling the holes with screws and washers or something. Anyways here's some pics!

Also ordered a extended rear diff breather!

Yeah, I'm about 50/50 to run no flares.

I love this build. Looking to do a few of the things you've already done. (A bit of a struggle with a minimum wage job) It'll take me a bit longer than t has you, but I'm excited for when it happens.

Rock Sliders, OME Suspension Kit, Front and Rear Bumpers, new Tires and Wheels, and a new muffler. The muffler is coming first because my stock one has a hole rusted through it. Then saving up for rock Sliders and then after that the suspension kit and front bumper. Wheels and tires somewhere in between those and a rear bumper to finish it all off. That's the plan at least. We will see how it works out.

Good stuff man! Only reason my build has come along so fast is that I plan on doing a long trip this fall out west doing a bunch of light off roading and exploring. I wanted to make sure the truck would be able to go where I want to go when I head out there. I may have also had some deployment money burning a hole in my pocket...:oldglory:

Met a guy yesterday to sell my old wheels. Figured his truck was good looking enough to post a pic of. His was a 2000 4x4, cheap spacer lift with 33s, and a 4 banger with 230K miles that he just bought off some high school kid for $7000. Crazy how much people still pay for these things even with high mileage!

Sounds good! Better take some pics for the rest of us. I can't wait till my truck gets to where I want it to go, for now it's looking at other people's builds for me.
