oh shit yeah i missed the spindles part hahahaha, you should be fine with them at 0 and all pros in the back, the maxtracs are 4" right?

edit: if you're going for 4" of lift why not get the expos with the spindles? you'll still get 3" of lift even loaded down with the expos

Whichever brake lines work, I will get, if they are needed.

The reason for me doing this is twofold. Originally I wanted to do it because I love the look of the spindle lifts but really couldn't justify spending the money to get it done. Fast forward a few months and I was noticing that my truck was bottoming out with just two people in the double cab. I brought it to a suspension shop on Friday and the guys told me that the leaf packs and all 4 shocks were toast. Thus, justification, came in to play.

If I am going to spend the money on a new leaf pack and 4 shocks, I am going to go ahead and get everything that I want and have the work performed at one time.

I hope this kind of helps give everyone a picture of where I am coming from...

With the 3" leafs in the rear, Maxtrac spindles and 5100's at .85. You will be sitting pretty level.

Our trucks have a factory forward lean of 2". We call it "rake" when it leans forward with the ass end up.

    Yes, Maxtrac's are 4".

So if I wanted to set the 5100's at .85 would that give me the infamous "bro lean"?

I thought that I read somewhere that at .85 it would be very close to level with the All Pro standard pack...

Would 285/75/16 fit with 4.5" of backspacing?

I have read some things on here of people having to cut and I am not looking to do that. A little plastic trimming is fine, but other than that, it ain't happening.

Edit: Never mind, we already went over this earlier in the thread. But there are a LOT of people not having to cut with this set up. What gives?

    Spindles go bad... Really?

Shocks are easy and cheap, and replacing them makes a lot of sense. And the stock leaf packs are crap, so that also make sense.

What is the difference between a spindle lift and a standard 5100 lift?

LOL...you got me. I think that you realized that I meant the leaf packs...

If you get the spindle lift, the spindles themselves will give you 4" of lift. After that the 5100's can lift you .85, 1.75 or 2.5" on top of the 4" for a possible total of 6.5" of lift.

Just a regular 5100 lift with stock spindles will simply give you .85, 1.75 or 2.5".

The people who don't have to cut, never off road. If tou actually use your suspension lift, you will have to cut, or you will rub. The cutting is Very easy. Don't let that stop you. I only had to cut so much because I'm running 35" tires.

    Correct.

You'll be doing a lot of waiting for parts for these trucks. I couldn't tell you how many months I've waited for different parts. The spindles took the longest at just over 3 months. I hope for you're sake, the wait time isn't so bad anymore.

Well, I am on the latest Maxtrac group buy and those are supposed to be shipped out around the 9th. The leafs are on their from California now. All I have to get is the 5100s and I'll be set. Hopefully the spindles come in on time and the 5100's are in stock...
