"What harm is it to have factory trained techs check fluid levels?"
None, this is already done before delivery and at your first service visit. Why do you keep telling ppl it's low and get it checked??
"I'll make the deal with you here, there's enough information out there for people to read and educate themselves and make their own informed decisions, you stop telling people their fluid level is fine and I'll stop recommending they have it checked by the dealer ( although there is no harm in it )"
All ready answered above, now will you please get a life or find a legit issue ppl can put their finger on?
Got a life? A job? Most techs I know work hard six days a week, I don't think you were or have ever been one
    Have a great day!
    Cheers!

Do you need to know, or care?
My limited came with Toyo tires and Sport rims. Why? Cause I'm in Canada and they cheaped out on us.

..."YOU are telling them to chance it."...
Really dude?? How can they chance it when the factory sealed it and IS responsible for checking all fluid lvls for the first two years of ownership??
Do you realize what you're saying or do you think ppl are stupid??
I've seen a perfectly certified master tech ASE all test, and come back to the shop and cut a bracket to replace a belt because it was easier then taking the bracket off.
So I ask you...Do you think that your credentials would impress me??
    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

"I guess mistakes on a large scale cannot happen?" There many checks and balances to assure a good product, and if things are as you say, we'd see massive lawsuits already. I see none.
The reason you want to spread fear and false accusations is because bad news sells, positive news goes unnoticed.
I'm taking notice of you, be happy, find something negative that ppl can verify for themselves and see how full of chit that you really are. But you won't will you?
You chose the transmission because it's sealed to the general public. That's YOU, that's who you really are, full of B/S
Have a great day, you've been noticed!
    Cheers!

Go west young man. Go west where someone may believe the chit you're dishing against all factory recommendations and responsibilities. I don't buy or get off on rumors or innuendoes, just the facts mam!
You told ppl their transmission is low ATF and ppl still had problems.
I told everyone it was a software issue and to bypass with other transmission modes till a software release, and now the release is here, and you're still trolling low ATF! Really??
Have a nice life, enjoy, find something worth while to do!
    Hope that helps!
    Cheers!

...^^^... Often times, top of the line and/or premium vehicles come with LTX-MS2's.

They are super tires on dry, wet & snowy slick surfaces too.

Hi there! As stated in my OP, you gotta get them to cut the BS, and insist that they check the fluid and fill if necessary. Again, this only applies if you have a towing package. If they say that it was fine, I'd go with that unless you don't trust them. If the latter, I'd either check it myself, go to different dealer, or other "trusted" Toyota mechanic that may charge you but at least give a straight answer. I've seen many a time that something doesn't get done due to the proud service rep claiming nothing is wrong, only to lose face when a mechanic confirms my suspicions (i.e. tires).
