Finally got a Tacoma, 65K miles on a '03 4x4 DLX ext cab. was looking for a 4cyl for gas milage, but only getting around 18mpg. needs some work, frame replaced during mid west recall, but the rest of the rusted parts were put back on, so the rust started to slowly creep back. I was amazed at the box, there is minimal rust, only one spot above pax rear wheel rusted through, but this gives me a good project truck...;) little at a time....first is new tires, which is where i found this forum on a google search, good info on the Cooper Discoverer RTX, which is what i'm probably going with....looking forward to being a part of this group.

    a bunch of new/used parts....and some skids.
    Welcome to TW!

The RTX's have been good so far on my dcsb for ~10K miles. Ran the Hancook AT3's for the first few months after I bought the truck. RTX's are definitely quieter on highway drives. treat has been aggressive enough for me. paid $433 mount and balanced, but heard you can get them for even cheaper now!

Tan-ishman, thanks, just got the Cooper RTX's installed, but found out need to replace the tie rod ends after the alignment, so just picked those up and hopefully this week will get them installed and re aligned so i don't mess the tires up. Didn't have much time to shop around, but go them for $108 each, compared to the $170 for each on the Michellins i was looking at...still waiting for some kind of weather to see how the Coopers handle....
