OME 881 with nitrochargers, AAL in rear with nitrochargers. 265/70/17 ko'2.
Hi guys, I was finally able to pick up my first Tacoma this last weekend, after searching for nearly 3 years! 1st gen double cab with 200k miles! Previous owner had 285/70/17 cooper stt tires and a 3 inch tough country lift, which I'm in the process of stripping off! Already threw on some 265/70/17 KO2's and ordered ome 881 coils with nitrochargers and elected for the add a leaf in the rear from wheelers. I look forward to joining the community and learning from everyone on here!

Finally got the suspension from Wheelers! Great people to deal with and everything came in great shape. Candy was a nice touch as well! 881 with nitro chargers and opted for the aal since the rear lifts were still in good shape. Nitro charges in rear as well. Lowered the truck about .5" from previous lift. Will upload pictures soon.

Also, truck sits with 223k miles, haven't had any issues yet. Belt was done at 197k miles by previous owner. Anything in particular I should inspect, replace, etc to eliminate issues down the road? Thanks for any input.

Assuming the frame has already been checked for rust and is in good shape, be sure to check your lower ball joints...they are a known weak design on these trucks and if they fail while you're on the freeway, it can lead to a deadly crash (not to scare you or anything, just stressing the importance of checking them). There should be very little to no play in the LBJ's, and no grease oozing out from the boots. They are non-serviceable so if you find any, you should replace them.

Here's a good video on how to check them.

Thank you sir, that was checked out and all is good!

I keep throwing around the idea of selling to get into a 4runner but every time i "make my mind up" i end up keeping the Tacoma.
