I just picked up my Off Road 6MT with the tech package this Saturday. I’m absolutely in love with it. After selling my 2018 two years ago I was hating myself for getting rid of it and I’m never going to sell this one. The changes from the ‘18 of auto headlights, CarPlay, and auto climate control are nice. The clutch feels better in my new one and the tune is obviously improved. Now to wait until the 5,000 mile mark before any major mods.

Right, but then Toyota puts together something as "outlandish" as the GR Corolla... with M/T.

From what l was reading it also sounds like they are adding MT to the Supra also.

Very nice. Wish I had gone with a MT. Still might make the move. I miss driving a manual, and these days it’s a theft deterrent

you made the right decision (obviously)

Guess what else I'm getting! While picking up my new truck I put down $500 on a Corolla GR, with a written agreement for MSRP. The wait is gonna kill me.

The funny thing is that at first, I kept forgetting it wasn't an auto when I was driving. Haha

I've got the opposite problem when I get in my 2000, always jamming the imaginary clutch

No money, all went to truck...
I drove a van rental last week and kept stomping the imaginary clutch.

I also still reach for the pull handbrake I had in the 2nd gen. That' habit hasn't been broken yet.

I drove almost exclusively stick shift jeeps for years. That habit is now mostly gone, except when I have to do an emergency stop. That left foot goes flying out on instinct looking for the clutch

    Sounds awesome! Congratulations OP.

I miss having a manual. Just today I hated my auto. When I'm merging onto the highway from work, there is always a slow down, where I have to slow down a bit and then punch it, and there is always a delay like the engine cuts off, and then it jerks.

Let's hope the GR Corolla can live on for more than 3 years and by then I'll get it.
The turbo 3 cylinder is still too new and I'm definitely not risking it after seeing the drama with turbo Tundras
also those owners of the first year GR Supra probably wanted their money back when the 2nd year got a huge improvement. Hopefully Mr. Toyoda still signs the shift knob after the first year of GR on those yearly special trims
