What were your thoughts on the 4 cyl. diesel? Reason for trade? Just curious.

It's definitely way too soon to tell, but keep us updated on how you feel about the throttle response compared to the diesel colorado.

well I just got back from 60 miles of driving it in town and out and it is much better than my diesel. On the hyw my diesel held better steady power but this truck is much better other wise. I will say I had no issues with the diesel Colorado and 55k miles it did good. I never liked the interior of my Colorado. Id definitely own another Colorado and to me o think they are good trucks and I am not a Chevy person and really owned mostly all Tundra's and had couple Tacomas way back. Had couple other brands like Ford 3/4 ton diesel back in 04 and one 2 Chevys one a 3/4 ton diesel way back when they first came out with the duramax and one half ton 5.3 way back and had lots of issues with both those trucks. Ford had no issues with it but really didn't need 3/4 anymore after sold the travel trailer we had. I no longer need full size and after owning the Colorado for little over 2 yrs and 55k it fits my wife and us perfect and I love driving the mid-sized much better and parking and garage space. Cant wait to see how this baby does. I sure like it a lot! plus I averaged 27.7 mpg over 55k miles on the Colorado. It was really a good set up. some people think they are slow but honestly mine ran real good once going and maybe a little lag from stop but not bad. The new Tacoma you can for sure feel the quicker power with the gas but that is normal and the gas Colorado is same way.

oh I traded only because I normally trade about 55 to 60k miles every couple years. My plans on this new Tacoma is to swap out my 3rd vehicle which is a 04 gx 470 with 111k miles on it for new smaller suv and use it more for work and back during week and try to get my truck mileage down to about 18k to 20k a year and may keep this one.
