Finally received the letter today from Toyota about the Corrosion Resistant Treatment for the 01-04 Tacoma frame issue.

You only have until October 31, 2010 to apply the CRT without affecting the Tacoma Frame Warranty Enhancement; they don't give you much time it's already Aug 7th.

Good thing I already had mine done, not waiting for the "letter"

The only states at this time doing it is: NJ, OH, IL, IN, MI, MN, WI, PA, CT, MA, RI, ME, NH, VT, KY, MD, DE, VA, WV

I know there is a lot of talk about this issue, just wanted to share with the group.

Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering which states would be covered. I live in NC now but would still like to get the treatment. I have family in 2 of the states mentioned. I wonder if I could swing something there? Is there a phone number you are supposed to call or something?

I just got my letter today in MA. Any of you already have this done? If so, what if anything do I need to look for after I get it back? Is this just a spray, or do they actually take things apart like they did with the frame replacement? Actually, why the hell didn't they do this when they replaced the frame in the first place???

Do I have to worry about the frame rust recall on my "02" DC ?

I had my frame replaced last october, so I don't know why toyota waited until now to tell me to get the spray, but better late than never I guess. It sounds relatively painless, I just scheduled it and it's an overnight job, at least at my place. They will give me a loaner car free of charge for the day/night/next day. The guy I talked to said they do 2 a night, I guess it's really messy and they need to clean up a lot after spraying before the dealer opens the next day.

the dealer asked me the other day when i was in there getting the lower ball joint recall done if i wanted to have the frame treatment done as well, im not gonna bother though my frame looks like new,no perforations anywhere.plus theres already enough undercoating under my truck to do several vehicles.
