So I finally pulled the trigger after endless months of research on 5100/885/AAL setup. My brother-in-law and I installed it in just 3 hours this past weekend with no hiccups. I have to say the ride is far better than stock.
Loving the choice I made and thanks tacomaworld for the endless amounts of repetitive posts and comments that helped me make the decision!

Oh, and of course thanks Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road for outstanding service, great prices and quick shipping!

I did the very same lift about 2 months ago. Every day I seem to be MORE pleased with the outcome. Excellent ride, great look, great on and off road performance, and at a reasonable price. Tough act to beat!

    Looks good!

Why the drop kit? How much lift did you get with this set up?

    Thanks guys!
I got a full 3 inches due to being a 2WD prerunner. I was told I would as well from Marie at headstrong off-road.
I did the driveline drop kit to prevent vibes post-lift. I guess the angle of the driveshaft can change after lifting and this spacer just fixes the angle of it. A buddy of mine with the same truck and same lift did it after he noticed some vibes so I just went ahead and threw it on just in case and it was only like 12 bucks so.
However no vibes, shakes, steering pull or anything like that! Drives straight as an arrow and I haven't even had an alignment yet! Also, still have stock UCA's.

Complete setup was $732.99 delivered to my door from headstrong off-road. That's with $90 strut assembly which made install a lot easier. I also ordered a $12.35 piece from wheelers off-road.
Install was very quick with no snags. My brother-in-law and I installed the whole thing in just under 3 hours in his driveway with jack stands. However, he is very mechanically inclined.
Thanks Buddy. Love it more everytime I look at it.

Looks good! Any pics before and after side by side? Also what size tires are you running? I'm looking to do a similar set up.

Look like 265/75/16 or 265/70/17, which are the same minus the wheel size.

I was looking at going with this same set up. I have a 2011 DCSB Prerunner as well. Have you taken it to get it aligned yet and did you have any problems with that?

I can post some more pictures later tonight and yes they are 265/75/16. I took everyones advice on tacomaworld and made sure I did it right the first time. This setup is great quality and very affordable. Only other thing I could do is aftermarket UCA's and a complete leaf pack but the AAL doesn't bother me at all. Everything feels the way it should and is definitely improved from stock.

I have not had an alignment yet but I have an appt on Friday to get it done. It actually drives great post lift without one though. Drives straight and tires look aligned for the most part. Watching for any abnormal wear closely until Friday.

Can you post an update after you get it done Friday? I am going to order this same setup as soon as the bank is ready.

Thanks man! I agree, the wheels and tires definitely complete the look.
Thanks! I would definitely recommend it. Most affordable way to do full suspension and I have read is still very capable. 4X4s will get the 2.5 inches that the coils specify though. I was told I would get 1/4 to 1/2 inch more because 2wd is lighter and I did get a full 3 inches. It is still a great ride though.
