Are you talking about before grinding down? I'm not sure I understand. I just want to take note so when I do it. lol.

Ill end up going with the same ones. 2.0x3.

Yeah I meant the initial grind down and removal of both the rivets and the bump stop tower. That's some TOUGH metal to remove! Even with an air hammer!

If you go 2.0x3"ers, be prepared to cut into the bed a little. I had to cut off about 1.5- 2" vertically off the wheel grooves of the bed on each side. I'm just trying to figure out what I can do to cover that back up. Whether it be metal bolt on covers or something.

Agreed. 10-15 PSI is typically safe for a non bead wheel. A lot of that depends on the overall width of the rim though. Mine are 16x8.5". Your 8" width wheels should still be fine though OP.

On another note, what's up Drew! I had a great time out at Piano hanging out with you guys in September! I hope to see you guys sometime this year!

    Cool, thanks!

While doing all my research I have been noticing that people are having a hell of a time with the rear shackle mount and bump stop mount. Also, thats good to know about the bed cutting, I didn't know that, but was wondering if it was needed. Thanks!

Good deal. I don't think I'll ever be in a situation where I will need less than 10 PSI. Thanks for the input. :)

As far as the strike pad is concerned, you can alleviate that by going to a Total Chaos u bolt relocation kit and run it as a "u bolt flip kit" essentially. It makes for a better strike point for the air bumps but the only thing is that the strike point is a little off center.

As far as the shackles are concerned I don't know what they are having issues with? The shackles are out of the way and not even part of the equation.

Just to recap, 2.5" requires no modification to the bed. 3" stroke air bumps will because they are that much taller to compensate for the increase in stroke.

Keep up the build bud. Looking good so far!

Here's some photos of my wheels with color-matched bolts. FYI, I looked all over for different bolt options, ie different head styles and/or colors, but the MRW bolts are super short (only 6mm) so it was impossible to find any of the right size.

I was referencing the shackle flip kit, and just that the rivets on the shackle hanger are probably just as much of a pain in the arse as the bump stop pad. I have an Allpro flip kit, and that plate is massive. Thanks for the info though dude, helps out a lot!

Those look great! I was looking for them as well, but with no luck. Did you get them done by someone or did you do it yourself? I know some auto-parts store carry a decent amount of color matched paint.

I took all the bolts to a local powder-coat shop. The color is not exactly MGM, but it's pretty damn close. And because it was such a small job, they actually did them for free, which was awesome. Even if a shop did charge, I would think it would be less than $20.
