I’ve been a server for 10 years and am going into police work. The patience is a positive in most situations but this is testing that lol

Maybe you should link them to this thread to show them that countless people are on your side and that you arent being unreasonable.

i think what it is, everything is made to order right now because of the short staff work schedules. so what 3rd party resellers do is put in-stock on their website and after you order they order it to the manufacturer and after the manufacturer builds it they drop ship it to the buyer.

And that’s 100% understandable for a business to do. My problem is the lack of transparency and follow up I’ve been getting. If a business does this then fine, just don’t refuse a cancelation if you aren’t capable of fulfilling the order is all.

Even better, advertise the production lead time. Would have eliminated this problem.

I even told them this and they said “we don’t have lead times, we just don’t the item in stock”

    wut....

Are you sure? I've seen them advertising stuff on here before. With every order they were giving "swag"

    Edit: found it

I have a almost brand new set of Dakar HDs for sale down in Petersburg if you are interested. They would not work with my shackle flip or hangers without cutting so I got deavers.

100% cancel the Dakars and go a different direction. I believe they are being redesigned but the ones shops would have in stock are not worth the money at all.

That’s my thought too. I sent an email which I posted further up that Dakar’s have to be canceled and I’m canceling Kings if I don’t get any reasonable eta or correspondence.

Good move man. Dobinsons or ATS Springs are the best options IMO

How are you being penalized? Did you read the TOC before ordering? Pretty clear if you ask me.

That first line and final line make it pretty clear that if you want to cancel your order after you have placed it...for any reason, you're paying a fee to do so. Have you asked about substituting for some other product that they can get?

Because a company can’t sell you something that they do not have access to. That’s like if I sold you something after I said no cancellations and then shrugged my shoulder and said I didn’t have the item to give to you. Then when you ask for your money back and I tell you okay but I’m going to keep 20% of it.

Yeah but if it was me, that I see they have in stock on the website, I order it. If I was told that they don't have it in stock, I'd be pissed. I don't want to wait for another month or so for products to be delivered. That's bs. I would cancel and find other business to deal with.

It's their responsible to let people know if they are out of stock on the website... Too bad, they didn't.. The buyer wasted his time for not knowing ETA or not getting responses from customer service. That's not right. You know "customer always is right."

No, they do have access to it as a vendor for the item. It's 100% normal for drop shipping to happen, nearly every business that sells goods made by another company does it at one point or another. Unfortunately right now that item is on backorder because it sounds like it's being redesigned. Backorders happen, it sucks and is annoying but it's not like they're not willing to send you the item once they can get it..it'll probably come direct from ARB infact.

You still never answered, did you read the T&Cs before ordering? Or did you blindly order and now come complaining when it's not in your favor? For the record, I've never heard of Rogue Offroad and I would never order from them, but the terms are clear as day on their site. When I ordered my Kings and Dakars, I did my research and ordered from a well respected shop, @HeadStrong Off-Road ;)

The customer isn't always right, sorry. If the customer can't take the time to read the terms of the order and then wants to violate the terms (i.e. canceling), then it clearly says they will pay and cancelation fee.

That's bullcrap. I don't give a crap about what's their terms... Vendors must let customers know that they have stock or backorder on the website which OP said it was in stock when he ordered. That means OP wasted his time for not getting the product. He has no idea about ETA.

See MESO CUSTOMS website which MESO's website let us know that the products are in the stock or out of stock. If it's out of stock, I can either wait or go to other website to find what I need.

If OP buys something from me, I'd tell him right away that I don't have it in stock and give him ETA for shipment arrival and have it delivered to his address. That's right way to do... If he wants to cancel, I can cancel the order and refund 100%. So he can be happy about it.

At least OP has buyer protection on Paypal.... he can get money back...

If vendors leave "In stock" all the time on website while they have no stock in stores, that's wrong!
