    Hey All,

Finally joining the club of taco owners as I was able to snag a 2003 Double Cab 4x4 this weekend and I'm looking forward to the years to come on it. The truck has 200k or so miles and had the timing belt/water pump taken care of at 188k so I'm good there.

Ball joints are ordered along with the belt weather strips and driver door seal as they were very worn out. Planning an oil and coolant change first, followed shortly by both diffs/transfer case, the transmission filter/oil and power steering fluid.

Anyway, just excited and have enjoyed lurking on the forums for various items over the last week. Always wanted a Tacoma but have been a one car house for a long time as I lived in densely populated neighborhoods where garage space was charged form and street parking hard to come by.

Looking forward to wrenching on the truck, seems like it should be a bit easier and cheaper than my current E46 BMW.

Yep, played a lot more back in the day but have an acoustic fender and Stratocaster electric.

Thanks, I do too! Originally was looking at a black one that sold before I could check it out, but am very happy with the red.

    Welcome to TW
sharp looking truck, I hope that you double checked the frame before you bought it. Changing the ball joints is also a great idea if you don't know when they where changed Last. I'm usually not a fan of red, but that trucks really looks good.

Looked under it and looked good, minimal surface rust from what I could tell. Truck's from Texas, two owners first one who had it for 18 or so years.

Steering rack guide is always loose on these, it looks like loose inner tie rod butnits really the rack guide, which is adjustable.
