No leather was NOT an option from the factory on 01-04 double cabs!!!!!!!!
key word being " factory". Yes a lot of tacomas have leather, currently own an 01 and 03 double cab trucks. One has leather, but not from the factory, been a debated topic on this forum. Toyota never shipped a first generation Tacoma from the factory with leather. Somewhere between the factory and dealership leather was added. Trucks are not shipped factory direct to dealerships. Two things you will not find, a factory window sticker showing leather, or a dealer brochure showing leather as an option. Nice truck you scored!

 

Didn't want to get an argument on this earlier, but yeah leather was not an option on 1st gen tacomas. I could see this as a dealer added option.
